Additional Course Information
This is an Italian course for beginners to prepare them for the A1 course level. This course is characterised by a particularly thorough approach with appropriate learning time. Step by step learning helps you to acquire the linguistic basics to communicate with others about family, everyday life and leisure. Building up a basic vocabulary and mastering the beginnings of Italian grammar as a solid foundation for further learning is created gradually. The course includes 20 lessons (45 minutes each) and lasts 10 weeks. 2 courses are required to enter Course A1 (see the European Reference Framework).
In the Italian course A1, we prepare you for common communication in the Italian-speaking world and focus on speaking. Learning basic Italian, which allows you to participate in simple conversations, ask questions and to be able to talk about yourself. In the written section reading simple texts and filling in simple forms is learned. The topics come from everyday situations such as welcoming guests, talking about friends, family, food, drink, time, weekly routines etc. To cover the entire A1 level, several courses are required. Level A1 is defined by the European Council (see the European Reference Framework).
This language level is ideal for those who are able to communicate in basic situations in Italian but find that they quickly reach their limits in a simple conversation. Therefore, an expansion of language skills is required. In this Italian course, the topics are broadened, learning the following: leisure, personal plans, travel, tourist attractions, holiday situations, ordering food, in the hotel, interests, hobbies, work, clothes, shopping, describing people, informal entertainment and the weather. The focus is not just on learning the vocabulary of the topics, but also the communication strategies, how to talk about the past, ask questions, make suggestions, ordering items, announcing plans, etc. The course helps to improve your language skills as well as improving grammar. To cover the entire A2 level, several courses are required. Level A2 is defined by the European Council (see the European Reference Framework).
In Italian B1, practical Italian is learned, which will enable you to take part in conversations about subjects that are familiar to you or relate to current events. Learn how to express your opinions and describe personal experiences. Become familiar with authentic texts from different areas of everyday life and learn to read relevant information. To cover the entire B1 level, several courses are required. Level B1 is defined by the European Council (see the European Reference Framework).
